Mobile Phone’s Birthday

According to one of my alerts, Forbes, on April 3 “The mobile phone turned 35 today. 35 years ago, Martin Cooper, the general manager of Motorola’s Communications Systems Division, placed
the first call to rival AT&T Bell Labs from a street in New York City.”
In July it will be 16 years since the agreement amongst the major telcos to allows phones to interoperate properly.
Then again, I guess those phones on M*A*S*H weren’t too mobile!
