Delft DOK and Rotterdam Bibliotheek

I had a great visit to Rotterdam and Delft and made a fun presentation to the local community. I made a quick visiting to Amsterdam PL on the way to Singapore and Australia. These are two amazing libraries and I took tons of pictures. Here’s the PPT:
Building Capacity for Change: 25 Technologies Transforming Libraries
Innovation rules here. Thanks for inviting me. (Wait until you see the new book from Information Today on the DOK “Dutch Boys” Shanachie tour last year. They are heading to OZ in the fall and did Jamaica in the Spring.)

  1. Stephen, I saw the live stream of your talk in Rotterdam — great stuff as always! You’re lucky you got to stop there.
I’ve seen the pre-pub version of the ShanachieTour book and I can tell you, it’s really cool. It’ll be out in October and the guys will be signing copies at Internet Librarian International (London) and at Internet Librarian US (Monterey, CA). People who want to find about more about the book can get info at:

Looking forward to your blog entries about Singapore and Australia!

  2. Hi Stephen,
It was nice to have you arond in Holland and it was a pleasure to meet you and Marshall.
I used your story about coping with resistance in a dutch blogpost. Was an eye-opener really.
