Soundbite alert:
“The Gates Foundation noted that a recent study by the ALA found that nearly three out of four libraries – 73% – are the only source of free public Internet access in their communities.”
And I thought there were Starbucks everywhere!
After hearing a few departing politicians recently saying they were against free wireless, somewhere in the back of my mind I hear Scrooge sayng “Are there no workhouses?”
Free wireless access seems like the most amazing way to improve community overall potential and an economic boost. But I guess the economy is doing just fine! (sarcasm alert).

I don’t know how it is where you live, but around here Starbucks offers T-Mobile wi-fi–you have to pay.

It’s free in most of the US stores. Costs in Canada. Apparently there’s not a global strategy. SA
