K-12 Blogs

Here’s a good list that includes many blogs that I have in my RSS reader.
100 Most Inspiring and Innovative Blogs for Educators by L. Fabry
This list attempts to cover those blogs where teachers share innovations, strategies, trends, insights and emerging technologies. It’s a fun list to start off and its organized into four parts:
General Teaching Blogs
Specialty Subject Blogs
Best Podcasts for Teachers
Best Video Blogs for Teachers
I suppose a board or school team could divide up the list and share links to the best of the postings via Delicious or whatever tagging or sharing system you use.

I had to giggle at the “via Delicious or whatever tagging or sharing system you share” part. My district is upgrading all the laptops in the district and people are panicking about backing everything up. When a new media specialist asked the best way to back up bookmarks and favorites, the tech people suggested she tell the harried, report-card buried, five-“special-events”-in-one-week, every person changing classrooms teachers to Delicious all their bookmarks.
Needless to say, the lms called others of us to ask what other options she could give. It would be fantastic if our district would use a sharing system like that. But perhaps the last week of the school year isn’t the time to expect they try it out. =)
