Bikes

“In the first quarter of 2009, but in a surprising twist, bike sales trumped car sales (2.6 million bicycles vs. 2.5 million cars).”

Make sure your bike racks are in good shape. Do they look nice? Are they garbage free? DO you put as much though into bikes as you do into car parking?
This is one way to look visibly green.
The city is building a bike path on the old railway right of way behind my home. It’s going to be paved and connected to the subways and GO commuter trains. It’s got nice new stairs and racks too. It passes by at least 4-5 great branches of the Toronto Public Library to as it moves its way downtown. You can use Google Maps in some places to find walking and biking paths to the library too.
Summer is coming. Try biking to the library.
(And as I was writing this I thought that hey! I could pay someone to clean up my bike and get it ready for riding! W00t!)
