How many unique book titles are there in the entire world?

How many unique book titles do you think there are in the entire world? Google counted 129,864,880 books.

Follow their logic here:

From the Inside Google Books blog:

Books of the world, stand up and be counted! All 129,864,880 of you.

Seem right to you?

Seems like an engineer’s idea of a count. Most interestingly, their definition of a book seems to be an object which has book-like metadata from their metadata partners . . .

I wonder what a librarian’s count would be.
