Android iPhone Blackberry Android iPhone Blackberry

It’s a constant debate. Android iPhone Blackberry. Which one will win? Will there be a dominant device? Or will we not care and it’ll all be about the apps and subscriptions?

Here’s some stuff that’s come out recently:

Android Keeps Rising

“According to August data from The Nielsen Company, Android has passed the iPhone and BlackBerry to become the popular operating system for people who bought a smartphone in the past six months. Over the past six months, 32 percent of new smartphone owners chose an phone with an Android operating system, while 25 percent chose the iPhone OS and 26 percent chose RIM’s Blackberry smartphones.”

I have the corporate Blackberry and my personal iPhone. My wife tells me she wants droid for Christmas. I don’t know if I can handle her having a cooler phone than me. And that’s sad.

  1. Google has been advising web developers on how to prepare sites and apps for its TV platform, and Google TV’s universal search will present web search results right next to local and cable TV content. Google TV is based on Android, which also uses Webkit as its default browser.
