U of Buffalo DLIS and SLA Buffalo Student Group

I have been helping the UB DLIS as a member of their advisory board for a while. Last night I got the opportunity to meet a few students and profs in person which was great! I am such a vampire for young librarians!

Anyway, I did a SLA Buffalo library community speech last night and we’re having a U of Buffalo DLIS strategic planning discussion today. I’m pumped! And I won a free Starbucks at the Buffalo Marriott!

Here’s the slides from last night:

And I got a real treat – having a beer and wings with LIS students at Duff’s in Buffalo (that’s where Obama visited when he was here!)

Heading home this afternoon by bus. Blogging will be very light for a few weeks since I head for New Zealand on Monday and then a week at library leadership camp in Yoho National Park in the Rockies. W00t!

    Stephen,
Thank you for coming to UB last night. I enjoyed your talk – talk about energizing. So, how do I get in on this Yoho National Park gig?

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to come and talk with us, Stephen! I know that we were all really excited to hear you speak and–those of us who got the chance to!–share a beer with you. SLA-B and UB thanks you!!!!
