I am still withholding judgement on Google+. I’m totally there and I’ve had both good and poor experiences there and I don’t quite ‘get it’ yet. That said, we should be playing with it just to learn. And I never underestimate the GOOG.
So, I’ll commend to you two great posts from leading librarians who know better than I do about Google+”. Besides, we’re not trying to find the absolute right answer at this point, we’re trying to learn by doing, invent by taking risks, invest cost-effectively in our community presence, and carve out a leadership positioning in our communities.

Setting up a Google Plus Page for your Library is Easy

This is also a great opportunity to provide a visible and cool development task for your new staff and colleagues. Take a risk and play a little.
If you’re not following David’s and Joe’s blogs and tweets, you should be.
And, besides, this is fun and finding fun and joy in our work is a great gift.

I’m trying to figure out ways to get our staff on board with using Google Plus. In the meantime, I am trying to post something new every day.
