The World’s Strongest Librarian: A Memoir of Tourette’s, Faith, Strength, and The Power of Family is now available for pre-order

I don’t normally recommend a book that I haven’t read yet but this one is different.

I am very excited about this work from Josh Hanagarne. If you don’t know Josh, he’s a librarian at Salt Lake City Public Library.  He is also the World’s Strongest Librarian and you can read about him at his blog here:

I met Josh a few years ago when I visited SLCPL.  Josh is a truly inspirational guy.  Besides being a thoughtful and awesome and sharing librarian, spouse and father, he also has Tourette’s Syndrome and his struggle to be all that he can be is inspirational.  I am positive that his story is worth reading.  I’ll be buying copies for me and as gifts in 2013.

His book, The World’s Strongest Librarian: A Memoir of Tourette’s, Faith, Strength, and The Power of Family (Penguin, 2013) is now available for pre-order.

Listed below, in alphabetical order, are the current destinations where you can pre-order the book, which will be released on May 2, 2013.

Barnes and Noble

Here’s the book cover:

Here’s Josh’s book trailer that he did at Salt Lake City Public Library.

If you want Josh to speak at your library or conference he is now represented by the Penguin Speakers Bureau.  I predict that Josh will be a pretty famous librarian in 2013.  Anderson Cooper, the NBC Today Show, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jon Stewart and all media will be begging for his appearance.

I know a few librarians sho have been published by major popular publishers but this one seems a little different and is destined to sell well.  Every library branch should have copies.  If you’ve ever struggled, Josh’s story is inspirational.

And I’m not just recommending this book because Josh could defeat me in a fight 10 times out of ten! 😉
