–          The trailer at http://goo.gl/McWv5

–          The full feature at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_QvhBVMjy8

A team of iSchool students DARE you to get to know three librarians:

–         James Dekens – Youth Librarian

–         Dave Hudson – Learning & Curriculum Support Librarian

–          Laura Murray – Children’s Services Librarian

“The main idea of our project is to show the interesting and unexpected lives that librarians lead outside the library. We want to give people insight into the lives of librarians in a creative and compelling way. Our group wants to address some commonly held negative stereotypes regarding librarians.
“Our Dare showcases three librarians that break the stereotypes and who are on the leading edge of redefining what it means to be a librarian. Our featured librarians step out into the community and redefine librarianship.”

–         Patrick Molicard-Chartier, Andrea Grassi, Meena Mathuria, Jordan Patterson, and Caleb Domsy: Faculty of Information, iSchool, University of Toronto

At the same time, Librarians in 3D, raises awareness for the Stephen Lewis Foundation http://www.stephenlewisfoundation.org.

  1. Thank you for blogging this project Stephen.

I was a part of the student team that created the film and I found it intensely rewarding.
