Libraries of the Future ConferenceTake a break from your day-to-day work and shift your thoughts to the future at the Library 2.016 mini-conference on Thursday, October 6, 2016, from noon to 3 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time.

Sponsored by our school, the “Library 2.016: Libraries of the Future” will be a unique opportunity to learn from library experts and civic leaders, meeting at the intersection of information, education, technology, and community.

You are invited to participate at no charge, and all sessions will be recorded. Even if you can’t attend the live event, please register and you’ll receive links to the recorded sessions after the conference. Plus, you’ll get a curated conference reading packet to include downloadable reports, articles, and videos focused on trends for libraries of the future. Register today!

Conference Schedule
The conference will open at noon U.S. Pacific Time with a stimulating conversation featuring industry innovators who will share their thoughts regarding trends and opportunities shaping the future of libraries.

Following the keynote presentation will be several 30-minute concurrent crowdsourced presentations covering a range of topics like disruptive technologies, 3D virtual spaces, open source solutions, and STEM librarianship.

After the break-out sessions, attendees will come back together in the main conference online room for a closing keynote and conference wrap-up. The conference will conclude at 3 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time.
