My Upcoming Speech in Second Life

OK, I am trying to stretch myself. I asked a team of volunteers to set up a Second Life sandbox for SLA to play and learn in. They did, lead by the awesome Jill Hurst-Wahl. Now they’ve taken me at my word and asked me to do an event there. So, after a practice session this afternoon, I hope to have more confidence and, as part of my own personal goal to try new things, I will, as SLA President, give a presentation in Second Life on “Developing a Global Innovation Culture in Second Life.” I think we’ll try for 30 mnutes. I’ll try to take questions too.
My presentation will be given on SLA’s land in SL (Location: on this Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. SLT). I plan on using voice chat for his presentation and there will be no PPT’s (which is also rare for me!). So, have your speakers on and/or headphones ready. My avatar is “Squid Cagney”.
Whether you are new to Second Life or a long-time resident, we hope that you will come to my presentation on Wed., Dec. 17 and we encourage you to bring others with you. This event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend. Some advice if you haven’t been to SL in a while is to sign in and see if you need to update your client. It doesn’t take long and will save you some time later.
See you there.
