What Stupid Thing Should We Call The Next Generation?

I love this survey.

What Stupid Thing Should We Call The Next Generation?

Read the comments. They’re some good humour and ideas in them.

I’ve heard a few people saying that they’re finding using age demographics to segment our user populations as being less and less helpful. I tend to agree and disagree. I agree because I think that the markers we use (social networks, mobile, etc.) are becoming just part of normal behaviour for all ages and that is just because things have progressed so quickly. Indeed, the disconnected are becoming the disengaged outliers. I tend to disagree because I can’t think of another way to segement. Maybe we need to just just use markers that speak to behaviour: on/off the Internet, have/don’t have mobile, read/don’t read, use don’t use eBooks . . . without the age filter?

Who knows?
