College Degrees per Square Mile

Now I wonder if we can correlate this to Foursquare members?

What does your city look like.

Can we correlate this to cardholders in public libraries?

  1. How do you think this data would look like for Canadian cities? For major cities, I think Ottawa is currently number one. If I remember my 2006 Census data, I think about 25% of Toronto (Census Metropolitan Area) residents over the age of 25 have a university degree. Plenty of room for further improvement!

Do you think many public libraries have a good demographic understanding of their users? In looking at library advertising and programming, much of it is targeted at parts of society that very much need help (and that’s a great goal to keep on pursuing!). But I wonder what proportion of active public library users are university graduates? Any data on this?
