Still time to register for Library 2.011

This is turning into the Woodstock of library web conferences!  There are 40 people registering every hour!  And there is still time to register for this free web conference,  Library 2.011, scheduled for November 2 to 4 and sponsored by San Jose University. Register here

Steve Hargadon, conference organizer, shares these amazing stats today:

“With over 5,000 registered participants, from 151 different countries,  this is an incredibly exciting event.  I’m particularly fascinated by  the ways in which virtual conferences have the potential to bring  librarians, educators, and students together to learn from each other,  and see this as part of the enormous power of social media and the Web.   There are many ways in which a virtual conference can differ from a  physical one, but primarily it is the ability to be  *inclusive*–inclusive of those who can attend and those who can  present.”

Here’s the schedule in Eastern time but you can get it in your time zone format at the website (this a truly global conference).  Also note that there is programming night and day and great speakers from around the world:
Wednesday, November 2
