Print Textbooks Still Dominate Campus Textbook Market
College students’ lives are suffused with digital media. But at many schools, e-books are just beginning to chip away at the dominance of dead-tree learning materials.
“A study in 2012 from e-book publisher Bookboon revealed that 75 percent of students decided not to buy their required textbooks. Some 70 percent of students at the University of Oklahoma don’t buy all their required books.”
