  1. People tend to assume a different, more “idealistic” persona when filling out surveys. In other words, they often lie to make themselves appear a better person than they actually are.

    I am a bit skeptical about the numbers reported by millennials about “High pay”. At the same time, we would also have to keep in mind the pool of survey participants. Where did they take the survey may shape the answers. Did they take this survey on Wall Street street or outside of a nonprofit organization that delivers charitable services to the community?

    Another thing to keep in mind, businesses often try to use reports like this to shape people’s expectations. I’m not surprised that a Wall Street firm is reporting that millenials care less about getting paid well.

    This report also follows the formula for success in the business world — pandering to business greed.
