  1. I realize that this entry was posted quite some time ago, and with all due respect to Nature, our professional network site for scientists is now celebrating its 10th year online. The Science Advisory Board Website (http://www.scienceboard.net) was launched on September 12, 1997 with the goal of helping bridge the gap between the manufacturers and end-users of instruments, products and services used in advanced biological research and drug discovery. Now with 34,000 registered members we feel that we’ve achieved some status as one of the most enduring networking sites on the Web!
