Your Persona

MIT has a new tool on their site that lets you have your web image scraped and organized into a visual persona.
Here’s mine:

To get yours and read more go here.
Personas: How does the Internet see you?

“Enter your name, and Personas scours the web for information and attempts to characterize the person – to fit them to a predetermined set of categories that an algorithmic process created from a massive corpus of data. The computational process is visualized with each stage of the analysis, finally resulting in the presentation of a seemingly authoritative personal profile.”
It’s much more interestng to watch it being created than the end result. Watch your own being created. Watch mine if you like. Pick a friend.
Compare and contrast your internet persona to your own self image.

  1. Just got married a few months ago – ran my maiden name with interesting results but more interesting to see the differences when running my married name…comparing all aliases & usernames would be neat, esp for those juggling profiles online!
