Google Docs Trends

Lots of libraries encourage Google Docs use – it saves money for them, empowers all users, and puts their data in the cloud where it’s accessible from anywhere.

I thought that this posting from the Official Google Blog might be helpful to keep you up-to-date on trends in Google Docs:

The next generation of Google Docs

New document and spreadsheet features
Higher fidelity document import
Speed and responsiveness
Faster collaboration

If your library and/or users are big Google Docs users, perhaps you should add this blog to your RSS feeds.

I’d also advise keeping an eye on what’s in beta in the Google Labs site or promoted out of Labs.

I am willling to bet that your logs likely show that this is a big app for your end-user an student stations and becoming a helpful expert is a good idea for the newbie users like those job seekers.
