Two of the amazing Shanachies visited Canada for a few weeks (after getting through the Volcanic Ashloud).
Eric Boekesteijn and Jaap van de Geer from the DOK Library in Delft in the Netherlands are amazing and innovative. They’ve done a Shanachie tour of the U.S. in an RV as the LBI (Library Bureau of Investigation) as well as Australia. They just did one in Canada and New Zealand is next. Cool.
If you know the Shanachies, you’ll know they take a ton of pictures and blog a lot as well as Facebooking and tweeting. Now they have started a regular Internet TV Show and have already put up quite a few interesting interviews with librarians and users.
Anyway, that’s the long way of saying that the latest episode of TWIL is online and it is an interview in two parts – first Jane Dysart, conference planner extraordinaire and them little old me.

TWIL #9: Jane Dysart and Stephen Abram (Niagara Falls) from Jaap van de Geer on Vimeo.
That sound in the background is the real Niagara Falls, not some video trick. The Shanachies also interviewed some folks at the Alberta Library Conference in the beauty that is Jasper Park. Check them all out. And if you ever have the chance to meet or be interviewed by the Dutch boys, take it!
