The Darien Library

The awesome team at the Darien Library (CT) does it again! Check out this PBS quality, documentary length (50 minutes) celebration of their town’s library and dedicated to their greatest patron.

I was genuinely moved and engaged (and I’m not just saying that because I was surprised to be in it!).

It’s not every library that can pull this off but everyone can try. Congratulations to the Darien Library team for showing leadership.

  1. Thanks Stephen, we were so glad you were able to sit for an interview.

The film was shot and produced by a volunteer–Manny Perez–who spent many hundreds of hours on this project and who became one of the staff, for all intents and purposes, over the course of the year or so of production.

Stephen–I’m thrilled you liked the film–it was a long, sometimes difficult process since I took on all roles during production–a far cry from the days when I was a creative director and could command vast resources-but far more rewarding. I would love to do more of these so if you spread the word about this film I’d be very grateful-and you were really terrific in it. Regards <Manny Perez
