Infographic: How to Design a Logo

Take a look at your library logo and ask yourself these questions:

1.  Does it have some represenation of a book or something book-like?  If it does, and if there are people in our community who don’t know the library has books, don’t we have a bigger problem?

2. Does it have some old technology in it?  Are there 8bit little digi-squares? CDs? VHS tapes?  Does it represent the library as modern or 90′s?

3. How about colour? Does it look as good in B&W as colour?

4. Does the logo make the library look like a people place and active? Or, does it look like a warehouse or building?
