10 Arduino Projects That Blow Our Mind

“Arduino this, Arduino that. What is Arduino anyway? If you want the official definition from the Arduino website, it is “an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for  artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.” In layman’s terms, it’s a little board that you can use to createinteractive stuff and connect it to sensors, lights, motors and other outputs.

More importantly, what can you make using an Arduino? Check out these 10 unbelievably awesome Arduino projects that blow our mind:

  1. Turn Signal Jacket for Biking
  2. Earthquake Warning System with Tweets
  3. LED Table Top
  4. Automated Gardening System
  5. Twitter Enabled Coffee Pot
  6. Automated Cat Laser

  7. Laser Harp
  8. 3D Printed Quadcopter

  9. Game Controller
  10. Robotic LEGO Band

If you could make any of these projects, which one would you make? Or if you make anything else with an Arduino, what would it be?”

It’s so neat that kids in my neighbourhood can learn at this non-profit workshop.  I’m excited that Toronto Public Library is investigating these spaces!
