6 Apps Students Can Use to Create Quick Audio Recordings
Via Free Technology for Teachers by Richard Byrne:
Richard Byrne lists a few free apps for iPad, iPhone or Android that have great classroom uses. Students can record an interview, send a quick note to themselves, or record a lecture for reviewing later.
Some people (not just students) are better learners using their auditory skills or supplementing text-based reading with auditory enhancements. That’s why so much Gale database content can be read to the user easily using the Read-Speak function and excitingly, to me at least, articles and encyclopedia (GVRL) entries can be downloaded as an MP3 file for the people to listen to later (on the bus, jogging, in bed, whatever) for learning, entertainment and review. It’s not just a feature for the visually impaired.
