I think the problem with this, though, is that Pokemon’s comeback was partially due to the fact that it never really went away. It wasn’t ubiquitous like in the ’90s, but the fanbase and new games and new episodes of the TV show were all still active throughout the past 15 years or so. Can you say the same about any of these fads?
