My pal, Patricia Martin has been talking about this new free book for ages. Well, it’s finally ready and I want you to know about this e-book that shares the secrets of engaging Millennials for your organization.
The back story: Patricia teamed up with Steppenwolf Theatre Company to surface secrets from top brands that are forging emotional bonds with young people across multiple platforms. The findings are being made available in this fun ebook. And it’s FREE, thanks to a grant from the Doris Duke Foundation. Check it out. You can download the entire thing or cherry pick the chapters that would be most interesting to you.
Libraries are a top but underwhelming brand. The OCLC research shows this to be true. Time for some change.
Check out What do Millennials Want? at Tipping The Culture.
The Book, Tipping the Culture: How engaging Millennials will change things, is available as a PDF (37 pages) or an ePub.
Patricia has given a number of keynotes for many years to library folks and her recent speech on her new book RenGen: Renaissance Generation; the rise of the cultural consumer and what it means to your business was a big hit at Internet Librarian. Patricia has been a big player in the invention and reinvention of many third sector entities like the Gates Library Foundation.
I recommend these two books – both fee and free.

Thanks, Steve! I am so excited to share this information with librarians. I keep banging the drum among the tribes I encounter to consider their libraries essential and vibrant cultural assets. I know you do the same. It’s terrific to have colleagues like you to riff with.
Thanks.
