Accessibility resource from The Chronicle of Higher Educatio

“With the deadline to meet federal web accessibility guidelines fast approaching, The Chronicle is making available a free report excerpt of “The Accessible Campus,” a special report originally published June 2023.

The free report features in-depth reporting and expert advice on creating a culture of accessibility. Readers will find a list of actions to take to integrate digital accessibility into the workflow and habits of faculty, staff, and students. You’ll also read about how universal design principles are applied to expand access, as well as interviews with faculty and students who, as they describe navigating inaccessible digital and physical spaces, give context to the requirements of the regulations.

You may read the free report while logged in with a Chronicle site license or with a free chronicle.com account. The full report, “The Accessible Campus,” is available in the Chronicle Store; use the code ACCESSIBLE15 at checkout to save 15% on your purchase.

Have questions, frustrations, or other thoughts about the process to meet the guidelines? The Chronicle reports team would love to hear from you as we consider what future special reports would best serve our audience.”
