OK, I am amazed if this estimate is accurate:

Kindle to Generate $5.42 bln Revenue in 2011 for Amazon: Analyst

Now, consider that the Kindle is just one e-reader and that e-books are just one thing that some e-readers do. Beyond subscriptions news and magazines . . . too.

Discuss: “e-readers are a huge opportunity for libraries.”
