Everyday Learning

The Idea Sandbox has a neat list of things to learn from:
Keep an Idea Journal
Add Knowledge
Arrive With A Solution
Jerks Are Everywhere, Learn from Them
Avoid Jargon
Expand Your Field of Knowledge
You Are Your Brand
Follow this link for more.
I had forgotten how much I can learn from jerks and their ilk. It reframes the experience for me to remember that. I find Paul’s brief, non-jerky missives to be useful distractions in my day.
Cheers,
Stephen

  1. Thanks again for reading Idea Sandbox and for linking to my site… Yah. Jerks are tough. But a fact of life. So you gotta learn how to deal with them… Take care! – Paul

  2. Believe me, I know from jerks – I worked for lawyers for 15 years. One of the things I learned is that the jerk many times has a valid point or good idea that no one pays attention to because of the jerk’s personality and way of presenting it. Once again, writing down ideas – including those presented by others – can be useful because it takes away the emotional reaction and allows one to look at them objectively.
