Steal This Idea

I love this idea. It’s social and it’s cheap!

You can put a collaborative crossword puzzle up on the wall with a pen. Users can play as little or as much as they want.
I imagine Sudoku could work too (Sudoku, fun to play, fun to do).
I originally saw this idea on LibraryStream who got it from Alex Byrne, Youth Services librarian at the University Place Library (WA).
I think that this idea could be expanded easily. There are lots of cheap puzzle books that can be torn up to create a play wall in adult’s and teen’s areas.
One idea in the original post was to use magnetic game sets like chess on the wall.
I’d add that those huge colouring posters are fun collaboratively too.
Lastly, gluing a big puzzle to those magnet sheets is a fun wall idea too (if you’ve got those metal walls or white boards). everyone just starts making the puzzle without committing to the whole thing. Call it many hands makes light work.
Got a dead wall? Doesn’t need to be dead!
