XO Arrives

W00t!
My XO Laptop from the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) Foundation arrived ten minutes ago. It took longer to get to Canada since they wrote that they had to find a special way to get it across the border. Interesting problem for a laptop designed for 3rd world kids. Lots of border there. At least they solved it quicker than they thought.
No time to play with it today but I’ll blog what I find.
I am excited. It looks great.

    Stephen,
    Congratulations on your XO computer. I have had mine for two weeks and am crazy about it. I have only had to use my desktop once in the two weeks. This computer is the hardware embodiment of Web2.0. One person has already put up a Jabber server so those of us who don’t have the school server (most US and Canadian G1G1 buyers) can chat with each other. hope to see you on the chat sometime.
