21st Century Learning standards (AASL & ISTE to name a few) highlight the importance of collaborative learning and thinking. What tools can foster collaborative student engagement while also addressing budgetary and infrastructure limitations? This institute will offer participants a look at tools which address this question, including Google Education Edition, Noodle Bib, and wikis.
Speaker: Ernie Cox —Media Specialist, St. Timothy’s School
Ernie J. Cox received his MLIS from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. He is the Library Media Specialist at St. Timothy’s School (K-8) in Raleigh, N.C. and a doctoral student at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His research interests include: reading comprehension and the web, educational leadership & collaboration, youth literature & services, and educational technology. Cox is serving as the Programming Co-Chair for the 2009 AASL National Conference.
