We’ve done a lot to make library websites discoverable on the web. Many (maybe most) good library websites are using Google Analytics to track usage. Many use the standard SEO tricks used by the commercial sites and stack up well in that competition.
Too few are as aware of the importance of Facebook as they could be. Users in North America spend more time on Facebook than Google. Are our libraries expanding their Facebook presence quickly enough? Are we learning about how they attract and keep users attention?

Research is more than search and takes longer. Can we put more ooomph into our web and social presence to support more researchers and more questions?
