There are always a bunch of new search engines coming out but this one seems to have broken through the haze and was the hot topic at Internet Librarian last week.

Also, at Internet Librarian, there was an interesting session with a duo of Bing librarians. I was amazed at how many core Boolean operators were available in Bing. I was temporarily taken back in time to Dialog Classic! Anyway, Bing was a major sponsor at Internet Librarian and did a number of sessions and had fun swag. All in all, this is just a note that if you’re a Boolean search demon you might want to check Bing out some more given the improvements that have been released in recent months.

Bing does not support daterange search. It will always have limited appeal without that indexed.
