It’s a fun list of movie characters, comic book heroes, superheroes, novel characters, etc.
These might be a handy list for your next kid/teen or graphic novel event. Hey – maybe having a theme night on librarian heroes would be fun. Just debate whther you’ll tell them in advance.
On the other hand, I am feeling the inspiration to ask LJ to do a cover story on everyday librarian heroes. Maybe we could take nominations for those unsung librarians who serve the impoverished and imprisoned, educate those without schools or teachers, entertain the sad and lonely, and bridge the digital and economic divides.
Real heroes trump fictional heroes every day! (and fictional heroes are cool too!)
