Gale In Context Videos

I’ve been talking to a lot of librarians and teachers lately about some of Gale’s newly relaunched Resource Centers as Gale In Context. One of the best things we have to orient folks to the benefits of and thinking behind this redesign are a series of videos that discuss the products and the research behind the redesign.

So, here are a few of these videos in case you’re interested in the reviewing the overview of the changes with In Context. Excitingly, early reviews from students are very positive.

Gale In Context: A Case for Change [5:46 Minutes]

Using Gale’s Science in Context [1.19 minutes]

Using Gale’s Opposing Viewpoints in Context [1:26 minutes]

Using Gale’s Global Issues in Context – Article Options [4:17 minutes]

Using Gale’s US History in Context [1:11 minutes]

Using Gale’s Student Resources in Context [1:20 minutes]

Using Gale’s World History in Context [1:20 min]

Customer Testimonial: Gale’s New Opposing Viewpoints in Context [1:46 minutes]

Using Gale’s Canada in Context [1:20 minutes]

It a great change based on a great deal of research with end users, teachers, librarians and students. As always, it involves some change in a time of change, but librarians have dealt well with that before.

  1. THANKS for the reminder to my high school colleagues. I’ve been using and promoting Gale online products for years and now I’ve been seeing the fruits of usage despite the new product release. The In Context branding and adapting of content by Cengage is smart. It is the thesis driven approach that I think our kids need now.
