Why People Still Subscribe to Newspapers
The print news business has seen significant portions of their revenue portfolio decline (real estate, car ads, classified) through things like Zillow, eBay, Craigslist, etc. Then again the print newspaper has been challenged by radio, TV and cable news and survived those incursions. We see similar changes in the book, DVD, research and borrowing space. What changes are occurring in libraries? Are we moving fast enough?

At my public library (Rapid City, SD), we view it as our job to help fill in that missing gap of local information on-line. See the http://www.blackhillsknowledgenetwork.com for a look at what we’re doing with our community partners.
