Visions of the Future

Here’s a few videos from Microsoft and RIM about their visions of the future.

Microsoft has us touching everything – and I mean everything.  I think that after seeing Siri and some of the stuff about gesture computing, this stuff will look a little dated quickly. And that glass topped stove frightened me!

  1. The Microsoft one has that smug music… I also found it a bit odd how slowly everyone touched everything and how weak their arms seemed. It reminded me of the people in an obscure science fiction novel called Half Past Human, where all of these weak, pale people (called Nebish) lived in underground hives. I feel disloyal, as it was first shared with me by a friend who works there, but really, it was a strange little video.
