It’s incumbent on all of us as information professionals to understand Panda and the changes to the Google Algorithm to address content farms and content spam. As you can see from this posting, it’s a big game of whack-a-mole.

Each Panda update meant something different for each site. Some were hit hard by one update and others remained untouched. It is safe to say that the majority of sites have been affected by at least one of the Panda updates in 2011 in terms of where they appear in your search results.
