Sometimes large urban university campuses aren’t known for their great looks. I have been walking the University of Toronto campus for the past few days and here’s some pictures of the grounds around the Robarts Library and the Thomas Fisher Rare Books Library (which is also home to my Alma Mater, the Faculty of Information / iSchool @ Toronto.
I think it’s very pretty. This time of year the Japanese Cherry orchard surrounding the libraries and the iSchool are fairly awesome. Crowds of people are crowded under the arbour and taking pictures. It’s beautiful and uplifting.
Don’t let anyone tell you that a large urban campus can’t be human scale.
BTW – my new iPhone 5 is a good camera for me.
