“The list and image come from Broadview Networks and is based on Akamai’s quarterly “State of the Internet” report. The speed averages are measured in Mbps and reflect the state as a whole. Here are a few of the top states:
- Virginia – 13.7 Mbps
- Delaware – 13.1 Mbps
- Massachusetts – 13.1 Mbps
- Rhode Island – 12.9 Mbps
- D.C. – 12.8 Mbps
If speed is imperative to you, might want to avoid the bottom few. States like Alaska, Arkansas, Kentucky, Montana, and West Virginia are all an average of 7.5 Mbps or less. For more information, and the complete list, check the link below.”
